Sunwing carry-on & personal item rules

Sunwing vacation package customers on WestJet flights get a free personal item and a free carry-on, no extra charge. Here's what's included:

• Personal item (FREE): Must fit under the seat in front of you. Examples include a briefcase or purse.
• Carry-on bag (FREE): Must fit in the overhead bin. Examples include a backpack, bag, or small suitcase.

Note: Sunwing does not publish specific carry-on dimensions on their site. Bags follow WestJet's overhead bin requirements. If your carry-on doesn't fit, it will be checked at the applicable fee.

Important: WestJet Rewards members cannot use their member benefits (like free checked bags or advanced seat selection) on Sunwing vacation packages. The Sunwing Guarantee perks are separate from WestJet Rewards.

This is the key distinction with Sunwing. Your baggage allowance depends on what you booked:
