United Airlines checked baggage fees
Standard checked baggage on United refers to the first two checked bags weighing up to 50lbs and measuring 62″ (L+W+H) or less. The first checked bag costs $40 and the second checked bag costs $50.
United Airlines excess baggage fees
These are the per-bag fees for checking excess baggage on United Airlines. The third checked bag fee is $150 and the fourth, and any additional, checked bags will cost $200.
United Airlines overweight baggage fees
Overweight baggage is considered any bag weighing more than 50lbs. The fees for checking overweight baggage on United are charged in addition to any standard, excess or oversized baggage fees. A bag weighing 51-70 pounds costs $100 to check. Bags weighing 71-100 pounds costs $200.
United Airlines oversized baggage fees
Most bags with a sum of length, width, and height of greater than 62 inches will fall into the oversized category. Oversized baggage fees are charged in addition to any standard, excess, or overweight fee. Bags measuring 63"-115" will be charged an additional $200. Baggage that has total measurements of greater than 115" will not be allowed as checked baggage.
