The best destinations, from sea to city

You say summer, we say vacation! Trading your office for a few sunny, carefree days OOO is an easy choice. The only decision now is where to go. Because with so many amazing vacation spots across the U.S., choosing just one isn’t easy.

No worries, we’ve got you! From chilling at the beach to a mountainside adventure, we’re sharing the top spots for an amazing summer vacation.

  • Best Beach Vacation: Destin Beach, FL

When it comes to vacation spots, we’re not gonna lie. We’re big fans of seaside siestas!

Destin Beach, located in the heart of the Florida panhandle, is a pristine jewel right on the Gulf of Mexico. Its powdery white sands are ideal for long walks and sandcastle competitions. And the emerald-green waters? Perfect for boating, paddleboarding, jet skiing, or just splashing around.

You guys can easily spend day after day tanning and sipping piña coladas. But if you get the urge to explore, head over to the Destin Harbor Boardwalk, a lively waterfront venue packed with restaurants, shops, and live music venues.

  • Best City Vacation: San Francisco, CA

Cities aren’t the usual summertime paradise: heat, humidity, and not a grain of sand in sight. Unless you head to San Francisco, that is!

First of all, San Fran is cool. Not “jazz-club cool” (although they have that, too!). But thanks to its infamous fog and the surrounding Pacific Ocean, summer temps stay in the low 70s.

Then there’s the “must-see” list, which is huge because this city is rich in culture and iconic landmarks. Alcatraz, the Golden Gate Bridge, Chinatown, stunning murals, restaurants, wine tastings, professional sports, the Redwood Forest….

Whatever it is you like to do on vacation, you can do it in San Francisco!

Pro Tip: If you’re tempted to take a dip in the ocean, bring a wet suit. The water temps max out at about 60 degrees. Yes, even in the summer!

  • Best Mountain Vacation: Jackson Hole, WY

Ready to get your cowboy on? Then saddle up and head to Jackson Hole, home to thrilling Western rodeo competitions and exhibitions.

Nestled at the foot of the Tetons, Jackson Hole offers all of the outdoor activities you’d expect from a popular mountain resort. Spend your vacay hiking, mountain biking, rock climbing, and horseback riding. Or go for an aquatic adrenaline rush with a whitewater rafting trip along the Snake River.

After a day of adventures, take the evening gondola from nearby Teton Village to the top of Rendezvous Peak. Dinner and drinks with a truly magnificent view!

  • Best National Park Vacation: Acadia National Park, ME

Acadia is one of our favorite year-round vacation spots. But summer at Acadia gives you a chance to enjoy one of the park’s most popular activities: hiking.

Acadia has over 150 miles of hiking trails and over 45 miles of carriage roads. And whether you choose a leisurely walk or a challenging climb, you can be sure of one thing. The scenery is absolutely majestic, with rugged coastlines and glorious summits.

But whatever else you do in Acadia, include a visit to the peak of Cadillac Mountain. The highest point on the Eastern seaboard provides gorgeous panoramic views over the Atlantic, especially at sunrise—it’s often the first spot in the U.S. to see sunlight.

Whatever your vacation style, you can’t go wrong with any one of these excellent vacation spots. So choose the one that appeals most, and book your well-deserved getaway!
